PRODUCTIVE USAGE OF ENVIRONMENTAL WASTE – LIVINGSTONE LAUNCH

Today 11/07/2024, ReachAll launched the ” Productive Usage of Environmental Waste” Project in Livingstone with the support of USAID Zambia. Held at the Zambia Air Force Mess Banquet hall, attracting different stakeholders and Exhibitors from both Lusaka and Livingstone to showcase their work on the productive usage of waste.

ReachAll Country Coordinator Maimbolwa Muliwana and USAID acting Missions Director Robin Sharma launched the project. Awarding Plastpave Zambia and the Libuyu, Choolwe Litmoms with a $ 1000 each to expand and support their Waste Management innovations and businesses.

Project Vision and Mission Statement

Vision: “Clean and Sustainable Environment by Promoting Innovative and Efficient Waste Management Solutions, and Environmental Responsibility for a Healthier and Greener Future.”

Mission Statement: “To develop and implement sustainable waste management solutions and adaptable systems that promote environmental responsibility, enhance public health, and stimulate economic growth.”

Project Objectives 

1. Conduct awareness campaigns and education programs to selected local communities, learning institutions, business sector and local authority public health staff.

      2. Promote and implement technologies, innovations and entrepreneurship in the two districts for sustainable waste management and social economic development.

      3. Enhance community participation and ownership in waste management in the two districts.

      4. Partnership with relevant stakeholders to implement waste management initiatives effectively and sustainably.

      5. Advocacy for implementation of waste management policies, incentives and budgets for the waste sector.
